in the apps menu it says 2.4 but when u actually start the program the bit above the list of options says chimpanzee linux 2.6 hd tools,
where can i get another copy of just the chimp program if im allowed to ask?

It is included in the AID disc, it is also available from the VIP servers and downloads section.
well i have now got the auto installer deluxe ver 4 disk and even with that chimp im still only getting the option to clone partitions and i have to chosse 1 c or 2 e.so i just dont get it,

The new HDD is set to SLAVE right?
At the moment, it sounds like Chimp is only detecting 1 drive, which is why you can't complete your clone.
well i have a seagate drive so to set it to slave i take the little blocking pin thing out dont i>? also i looking at the original drive its set to cable select is that right

No. Original drive must be set to MASTER, new HDD to SLAVE.
As to how to make that particular model of HDD a SLAVE, I couldn't say, but they normally have a little diagram on the top, showing the location of the jumper and what each position means.
You cannot rely on cable select to assign the drives the correct way, much better to set them yourself.
well i set the original to master and the new one to slave it shoews no thing over the pins for slave so im guessing that must be right,but the same thing is still happening so i really have no clue now as to whats up

Only thing you can: use XboxHdm to build a new one. You will have to open your comp up but thats your only other option than buying a mod chip. _________________
