Good DAy All. I am a newbie. My xbox was hacked about 3 years ago. Recent I just bought a Samsung 36" LCD Flat Screen. I also picked up some Hi Def cables for the original xbox. I plugged in it, enabled all the 480, 720 1080, then I switched from Normal TV to Widescreen. At this point I started getting error 21. Now when I boot up the xbox, it boots into the original evox dashboard but nothing works. When I try to go back and change the tv settings all I get is the error code. I have already begun to download the autoinstaller from this site. I do have the ability to ftp into the xbox. What should I do to fix this. I sent the xbox away 3 years ago and someone added a hardrive. Not sure which method they used to mod it . I am at work right now, but will be home later tonight. CAn I just download the autoinstaller and copy C and E Over to the xbox? Please help.

Ok, error 21 means: You're missing .dip files on your c: Drive or you have .xip's from a different (wrong) dashboard version. To fix simply restore a complete backup of the c: drive.
So there you go, after restoring the backup of your C:\ drive you should be all up and running again.

Xbox-Hq Auto Installer Deluxe 2.11 FINAL (VIP ONLY)
That is the file I am currently downloading. If it is different please let me know as I do not currenlty have the c files anywhere.
Thanks so much!

The AID disc that you are downloading will not have a backup of the C:\ drive, as each drive is unique. If you do not have any available backup, you will need to either:
Perform a hotswap. (A tutorial on this is beneath my sig)

I am not worried about losing any data, just wondering if I can put a fresh install and wipe everything out without having to physically open the xbox.
