hi, i used AID to install SID 4.5 ndure because i wanted to be able to play on live and have a modded box. i installed and everything went fine, i had to reset it and finish the mod and it worked. but when i try to boot with the open tray button, the regular xbox screen thing comes up and fades to black like usual, except it stays black and nothing happens. i was wondering if the ms files were in the wrong directory or something and if i could ftp them to the right place (when i boot with the power on button, the hacked dashboard loads perfectly). thanks for the help

Sound like you might have the wrong MS dash is it the 5960 one...?
If not you will have to start again with that updated mate.. _________________

alright, i fixed it, it works now i'm just wondering if i boot it into the ms dash if it will allow me to create an xbox Live account

No you would have needed to create the account before modding, as explained in the SID 4.5 documentation.

would it be possible to go to a friends house with an unmodded xbox and create an account on their box and then use our box to login and the such?

not that I know of sorry. you would have to unmod your box, set up your account, then mod again.
