hello eveyone,
i had recently purchased a new modded xbox...when you press the eject button the console starsts with microsoft dashboard and runns fine
when i use the power button the xbox boots up with evox at the top left and i can play all my desired software and use apps and play copied discs
now here is what happened....i got silly and downloaded AID 3.10 latest version and formatmy hard drive and installed evolution x....
every thing runs fine with the modchip and powerbuttton......but WHEN I TRY TO LOAD THE ORIGNAL XBOX DASHBOARD IT GIVES ME ERROR 13 AND TELLS ME TO CONTACT SERVICE CENTRE....I LOCKED THE HDD BUT IT STILL DOES NOT BOOT THE ORIGNAL DASHBOARD AND BARRING ME FROM PLAYING ORIGNAL GAMES...REST EVERYTHING WITH THE MODCHIP AND EVOX IS FINE...

You should be able to play games for evox, but as far as the MS dash goes just boot AID and the format the C drive and then go to the dashboard section and install ms dash 5960 or whatever it is. and it should work then.

Ok load AID and go to file editor select the E drive and see if there is a folder called bacup, if so open that then it should have the ms dash files in it. Then pull the r trigger and then on the right side of the file editor open the C drive the switch back to the other side with the L trigger then with the backup file open press the black button then the white button and select copy. It will ask you if you want to copy the file select yes. Then when it is done turn the Xbox off and then use the eject button to turn it on.

sorry for bothering you i figure it out myself...the cd i burnt was corrupted so i burned the iso again and had no problems in extracting the files....
and i have both the dashboards now......
