I have installed every version except the newest one but every time I have I have lost all of my old Games and Game saves. I want to update to the newest version but I want to know if there is an easy way to save and restore my old games and saves and still reformat/update to the newest version? I have always used the one click install.
I can't hook up my xbox to my PC because my TV and computer are in totally different places in my house. Is there any easier way to do this?
Thanks for any help.

If you don't have a stock HDD Put your game saves in f Drive then when you format, format as if it's a normal (Stock) drive then it will only format : C.E.X.Y.Z Drives then when your done put your game saves back and your good to go again.....

Even if you have a stock drive you can format the F drive first and it will give you 2 gigs then put you game saves in F and format stock hdd and it will not format f

Well you shouldnt do a 1 click install unless your really in a hurry. if you want to put in the newest stuff on your hdd then seclect it manually also you can select which drives to format from the format menu. Like lets say you have a chip and had a lot of gamesaves on E so you select format/prepare hdd then you can go and select C:\ and it will format C:\ then you install M$Dash then install the dash of your choice. _________________

Just a question mate
Sorry I have not had much time lately.
Usually it is just the easiest and I am more less a noobie when it comes to the Xbox.
My son had his cousin over last night and now when the Xbox boots up I can't see the games, apps or the power down option. I have the last evolutionX on from the version before this newest one.
If I just re install Evolution X will all my games, saves etc still be there? is there maybe a button you can push when the dash is booting to disable these folders/options?
This is now the 3rd time this has happened and I am getting quite tired of it neither my son or his cousin will own up to it and they deny doing anything but turning it on which I don't believe because it has been fine for at least 2 months now and it is every time this kid comes over that this happens.
any help would be appreciated.

Ok EvolutionX loads but the options to loads apps and games is gone so is the option to power down the xbox not sure what else but these I used.
would it be ok to install just EvolutionX again overtop using the newest Auto installer but nothing else? Or is there some type of control to disable these things on bootup that they may have triggered that I can fix?
The exact same thing has now happened at least 3 times.
Oh and thank you.

No idea what a Sid is?
I have an 80 GB drive and an Executer2 chip I installed a couple months ago with just the one click install so I am not too sure how it gets set up and I am unable to check right now with the state that it's in.
And yeah I have the last 3 versions of AID newest is not burned yet though I will do it in the morning.

I was able to delete the EvolutionX with Aid and then Install XBMC but there are no skins?? I guess you have to add them yourself to the Disk using the updater?
None of our games were gone I have not checked the saves yet.
Thanks for the help.
