I was preparing my XBOX for a fresh new 200GB HDD. Prepared my bootable AID 3.10 and it worked well. Booted up fine and was able to launch ConfigMagic. Used AID to backup C and E. C was backed up to E\backup. When I try to backup E to F or G, it says that I have an error in F and G. Later found out there is no space assigned to it.
Used XBpartitioner to transfer space from Y and Z to F and G. What's Y and Z for anyway, don't see any files there? Anyway, XBpartitioner than start formating F,G,Y and Z with the newly assigned space. AFter that it rebooted. That is when all hell break loose.
AID will not boot, get stuck on the startup screen for very long time until I have eject it and reboot. However, it does goes back to EVOX Dash. Try to run XBMC and it will go back to EVOX Dash. After mucking around a few times, the XBMC will run. But trying AID again, it will get jam and the cycle starts again.
I can't even unlock my HDD now with ConfigMagic. I FTP ConfigMagic in to the E\APP but it wouldn't run either.

leave it longer it will boot eventually. takes ages to boot on my xbox too

I left it booting for almost 15min and still no response. Is it due to the fact I reformatted Y and Z drive?
Any other means of unlocking the drive?

Well this sounds funny but if you have a modchip then this will be easy and flawless if you have a softmod then it will be a little bit more difficult. if you can try to boot aid 3.1 leave it in for 1 hour if needed then backup all of your gamesaves and format a large hdd in the format/prepare menu. install msdash and your hacked dash if you have a softmod then install ms dash and install a softmod i think thats in advanced options. after that transfer your gamesaves back and it should work flawlessly. also did you try clearing E:\CACHE? also the reason its probabally loading slow is because you took space from the cache drives. take space from them and you have less cache space and less cache space means less things will load like games and such, that is y u need to format and prepare again. _________________

no, this wont make a difference. are you sure you burnt the AID disc correctly. the dvd drive maybe having trouble reading the disc. Can you get a friend to try booting it in their modded xbox

what kind of media is it burned to? dvd+r or dvd-r, dvd-r readings better.
