I've been modidng for a while now, and somehow i cant ftp to my xbox anymore!!! It's set to static and this is what flash fxp said
[R] Connecting to 192.168.1.101 -> IP=192.168.1.101 PORT=21
[R] Connection failed (10061: Connection refused)
[R] Delaying for 120 seconds before reconnect attempt #1
[R] Retry attempt Aborted
Why cant i connect???

Can you ping the Xbox..
select run on your start panel type ping -t then the ip of the xbox..
it sould reply at 1ms....
That way you will know if you are connected to the Xbox or not.. _________________

Make sure your IP on the PC has the same network portion as your XBOX. You say that your XBOX has a static ip of:
192.168.1.101
Make sure you PC has something like:
192.168.1.102
Also, what dashboard is loaded up when you are trying to connect to your box? Have you changed dashboards or anything else recently? Was it working day in and day out and all of a sudden out of the blue it stopped? _________________ My Setup:

or make your xbox DHCP and it will assign it the correct IP and allow you to do this with aloof ease!

The annoying part of that is if you are running alot of devices on your network and you like to update your XBOX alot, you never know what IP is going to get assigned to the XBOX when you turn it on...I know, it only takes a second or 2 to check, but then you have to update that IP n your FTP client...yadda yadda yadda. If you run a few XBOXs, it can get annoying and hard to manage. _________________ My Setup:

WEll over at settings/ misc i did click start ftp/stop ftp/ reset network and all. Not sure if that affected it or not : /

I figure out the problem...it was zone alarm, wouldnt let me connect.
