what i meant was that i was new to this stuff... but i'd like to know somethings... I have an xbox... couldnt tell ya what version it is cause i dont remember... its modded... im almost absolutly positive that its a soft mod.. reason i dont know for sure is cause i bought it from someone, and it worked fine.. I had it for about 5 months and then a bought a bigger hd for it, and i had he guy who i got the x box from install the hd, when i got it back it had more emulators and xbmc... which is cool just fine, but the music wasnt showing up in the music folder thing and the games wouldnt either in xbmc, so instead of takin my xbox back to dude, i managed to fix it myself, still it worked fine games, emulators, trainers all worked great.. but then i went to make xbmc my default dash... and well i messed up... gettin error code 13... i'd appreciate any solutions... thnx :

yeah did you backup the eeprom if not then you will need to hotswap. or if it isnt softmodded and it is hardmodded then just insert a copy of aid.
i dont know of anyway of telling if its chiped or not, other than crackin the box and i dont own the tools to do that and where is that file normally located

hold up , error 13 just means no dash is found HOWEVER this DOES NOT require a hotswap , do this put aid 3 reboot with disc INSIDE if it loads just install any dash to C or E reason why i cant specify? cuz i dont know what softmod version you had , more likely is C if you get lucky to load aid 3 FTP your eeprom.bin it should have ftp acess by then , also if aid 3 fails then put the original game you exploited with same deal put disc turn it off turn it back on with disc INSIDE then load linux ftp eeprom and install a dash on C _________________ |FTP|Useful Links| softmod vs hardmod questions

so i have to download aid 3 and burn it to a dvd... and i dont know what game was used to expliot it cause i didnt do the intial modding

basicly if the linux files are still on the xbox you can put the game that was used to mod it and load the linux , once loaded you can put a dash on your C so that the xbox can load someting . and when i ment if you can burn an aid3 disc and if it does boot you can just put a dashboard and problem solved , fianly you can do a hotswap then if thats not enough ( which IS enough) you can hotswap _________________ |FTP|Useful Links| softmod vs hardmod questions

I softmodded a 1.6 version xbox for a friend using the mechassult hack he brought it back 2 weeks later and said his kids had done something and now it had a error 13 message. Well to fix it I put the halo2 (stock dvd not a backup) in it was able to boot and reload the dashboard then I booted the mech hack again installed softmod and used the AID 3.10 install disc.
Works good now!

you can rent/buy each one til you find the right one 2) you can burn the aid disc to see if it reads it and reinstall a dashboard 3) look under my sig
