Anyone tried ftping from one xbox to another?
I tried the xboxftp on AID 3.10 application but could not get it to work.
I then tried using flashfxp (FXP) w/ Avalaunch (soft installed) and still no luck.
Search the forums and internet and tried several ways suggested but no luck.

Ftp'ing from dvd2xbox works quite well, and I regularily use xbox to xbox ftp from xbmc, tends to be faster going direct than proxying through a computer too.

well see, i was just typing from wat i saw in the topic
My problem was I could not get it to transferr using flashfxp. In order to make it work, I have to untick the pasv box or active (tick).
Xbox to xbox fxp as the term applies uses pasv mode so Avalaunch was one that supports pasv mode. Even at this I could not get it to work.
Some thing about pasv support.
I did not try xbmc though.
One of the other issues was xboxftp did not have the G:\ drive and this was were all the backups were.
Maybe someone will come out with a step by step tutorial on how they do xbox to xbos ftp.
I've tried the ones on the tutorial but perhaps I am missing somethng as I could not get it to work.

If you have xbmp then enable autodetect and set it up to add the name in the file mananer. Do this on both Xbox's. Wait and select yes when they ask to conect. Then transfer files from xbox to xbox like you were doing it from drive to drive. Easy Stevie.

Steve,
Can I do this with a cross over cable or should I just run the linksys router between the two xboxes?
Also, XBMP (xbox media player) has been replaced with XBMC (xbox media center) are they one in the same and will xbmc work.
Xbox-HQ has a great tutorial on this subject but does anyone know how to make it work using Avalanuch since avalaunch supports pasv.
I tried but did not suceed.
