I have a 1.1 with a smartxxv2. This machine has the 120gb. I also have a 1.6 with the xenium ice, but this mchine has the stock HD. What do I do to swap? What issues will I run into?

In most cases, as long as there is nothing wrong wih the hard drives, Yes.
Since both xbox's are chipped, this is very easy, and if there is a problem with the dash, you can always just reinstall it.
If you don't have it already, I do recommend downloading AID 3.10. It is a great resource to have available to you for setting up apps., dashboards, etc... there is a torrent available in the downloads section.
