so only i can manage to f*** up every box i touch. I just bought a softmodded box from a friend of mine. it was a flawless mod, best one i'd ever seen, got it from someone online. anyways, so i only had a few programs installed and i decided i'd install some more so that i can customize more things about my box. i put in the aid 2 cd i bought from...the xbox-hq guy here on the site (sorry, don't remember the sn). anyawys, so i boot the disc, go to the install apps section, install the apps to my g drive (that is correct, i have a 300 gig hd in the box and i have it all set up on g). so i install them, remove the disc, and voila...my box gives me the error 21 screen off of boot up. no more dashboard for me...???? any suggestions?

yes, but how do i get to the point to restore it? i can't even get the aid disc to load anymore...just the error 21 screen.

its because your ms-dash went corrupt, so you need to get a fresh copy of msdash-c and xboxhdm and make a disc and just reformat the c drive and remod. _________________

oh...that sounds easy enough. thanks!!! i thought i was doomed there for a sec...i can format just the c partition without losing any info from the e, f, or g partitions, right? also, any clue why this happened just from me installing programs?

Yeah just do the c and remod, as to why its not installing apps or why it messed it up, who knows, its probably somthing simple yet stupid lol _________________
