Was wondering was gonna hack apart an old controller and put a usb on the end, this should work right cos the controller uses usb but isn't a standard usb be connector, but do i need any additional apps? got all the standards on my box (avalaunch, evox, xbmc etc) was planning to use it to connect my external hard drive.

it should work unless drivers are required for the external HDD.

ha found the mod for xbox controller to pc works like a dream! saves wasing the male part of the usb as i need the female for above mentioned!
