does anybody know how to fix error 16 with no eeprom backup other than gettin a modchip? i read somewhere that if you unplug the dvdrom ide cable it will boot to error 11 thereby unlocking the drive letting you ftp in an things like that, any help is welcome _________________ XBOX v1.6

It dont work that easily, and that method wouldnt work anyways,
does the fact i have no eeprom backup make any differnce when hotswapping, do i just download the latest msdash, put it on disc, do the hotswap an everything will be cool?
also i thought that the stock drive was broken, but when i hooked it up to my pc it detected it, does this mean it is workin or would it just detect it anyway, broken or not? _________________ XBOX v1.6

yeah its working if your pc detected it, as for error 16, theres a very slim chance that hotswap will work. But it dont hurt to try. _________________
so i dont need the eeprom backup in order to hotswap? _________________ XBOX v1.6
