I softmodded my xbox about 2 years ago now using a splinter cell xploit and unsure what else. I know want to update to the latest softmod, I also have a 120gb drive installed which I used an ISO cd with some weird linux menus from what I can remember to build the drive any help would be appreciated or at least where to start.
Oh from my sig I saw I put its currently modded with

Easiest way will be to use the AID3 disk. What I would do is format C drive and install MS dash 5960 to C. Then backup your eeprom, backup MSdash, and choose "tools" then "Softmod 4.5". This can all be done withing the AID disk, making it a fairly easy process.

Right that didn't seem to work.....Used the AID3.4 DVD for the whole process.
I formatted C: ok, I then installed MS Dash ok, I then went to backup eeprom and it said done ok but once I clicked ok the screen locked and I couldnt continue with any other steps like you suggested. I had no option but to reboot, on rebooting back with the original MS Dash now and the AID wont boot. what do I need to do now? _________________ Crystal Xbox PAL V1.4/V1.5 (Focus VideoChip)????

All done now....
Reverted back to splinter cell and maxkey method to reinstall the softmod knave4.5 i think anyway all ok now with the latest softmods, all left to do now if get my new router run some ethernet cables to my front room and get a NAS then I am setup. _________________ Crystal Xbox PAL V1.4/V1.5 (Focus VideoChip)????

Only one more question with the AID3.04 I want to change my dash to xbmc I have the softmod v4.5 n-knave with the option of retail boot (tray open) uleash x (tray closed). I have 120gb hdd with all drives eg c,e,f,g which options do I select after Install Dashboards (Softmod)?
