hi guys, well heres the thing, i got stock xbox, the hd crash, iwas about to mod it but little to late, so...how can i upgrade the hd to bigger size without having the eeprom bin file,, i dont want to use a mod chip,,, i know there is a few ways it can be done but dont know them..i have another xbox that is softmodded, but i dont have a Y cable....so if u can enlighten me that would be great thanks

If you don't have the eeprom your hooped. You won't be able to lock the new drive. You'll have to build an eeprom reader to get the information needed from the eeprom chip. _________________ Hotswap|HDD Upgrade|X3 Guide

hum...that sucks, i made a disk xboxhdm,,with no eeprom,an made the hd hopeing it might pick up from the board but yea it wont lock, i thought there was something else i could do or at least work with my other modded xbox

Not unless they are hard modded.

can i take an eeprom from another xbox make an orgianl dash, put that eeprom there, an make an hd that would help me restore the orgianll eerpom off the boarad? would that work if so, could u lease tellme how to do it?

the answer is no, you cannot use a eeprom from another xbox, to recover the eeprom from another, it dont work that way or that easily unfortunatly, you need to make the eeprom reader or chip the xbox. _________________
