i have xbmc installed, can i switch to the orignal dashboard without going back into sid3? if i have to go back into sid3, what are the steps i have to take to load dashboard w/o reformatting or losing information. the only reason i ask is becuase i cannot figure out how to (i know, this is sad) copy saves from my memory card to my xbox hard drive.

yes its quite easy, keep xbmc in apps folder. Keep Evo-X as your dashboard. U can go to xbmc from apps, and then in xbmc select evox as your main dash. _________________

gah ok, so all i have to do is insert the aid304 disk, install evo-x as my dashboard and then when i want to use xbmc i run it as an app from evo-x? so i will also run the M$ dashboard as an app from evo-x? and will evo-x run when i boot my xbox from now on?

normally u can use the chip's enable and disable feature. M$ dash is already on the c drive unless its formatted otherwise can be installed from AID, and you can disable ur chip and load M$ dash normally. You can use XBMC as the dash and EVO-x as an app. It is how u want it, i have xbmc as dash and evox, unleashx, anodx, avalaunch as apps. Its all good. _________________

here is what i have done.
step 1: boot aid3.0.4 from previously installed xbmc
step 2: select format/prepare hdd > format retail hdd
step 3: select format/prepare hdd > prepare e drive
step 4: select install dashboard 5960
i stopped after 4, i'm not sure if i should do the next step.
step 5: install hacked dashboards > install e: dashboard (didn't select dhcp as xbox is not currently connected to a router, but it will be in the future-will i have to reinstall a hacked (dhcp) dash when i do that?)

well your halfway there then, now you can install unleashx as a main dash which would allow you to go back to the ms dash, then you can install XBMC as an app from the applications menu in aid and then you got the best of all 3 worlds _________________
