We are in drastic need of help. My son and I softmodded his xbox with sid 2.0. Kept getting error 21 so we restored using the msbackup. Then he tried sid 4 and now when he starts his xbox it has a steady red light and the unleash dashboard comes up but he cannot connect to xbl.. We cannot figure out how to restore the msbackup and when we try to launch the msdasboard it says msdash.xbe is missing. Any help? Thanks

well for one, you cannot go on XBL with a softmodded xbox, unless you use the dual boot mod and with sid 4.0 the ms dash is disabled. _________________

To get to XBL power onthe xbox by pressing the eject button.

thanks for that info. He said he did choose dual boot mod but when we power on using the eject button the screen goes black after the xbox intro.

hmm, thats weird, probably a bad install. Uninstall the softmod and install SID 4.5 _________________
