A SID4.5 softmoddd xbox can support drives larger that 137. You just need to enable it in your dash and format the partition _________________ Hotswap|HDD Upgrade|X3 Guide

Yes, having the g drive enabled is wht you do in your dash.
SID = Soft Installer Deluxe, the recommended softmod from this website.
When you get the new drive in you will need to format you G:, but you can use unleashx or AId(auto installer deluxe) to do this for you. _________________ Hotswap|HDD Upgrade|X3 Guide

Yes, use HDM and you will have access to C:, E; and F: totaling 137GB. Then you format G: from your drive and you'll have access to the difference _________________ Hotswap|HDD Upgrade|X3 Guide

well....woohoo....i didnt know the the 1.0 xbox's could do that?...is their an official thread on this that i can read?....if anyone knows where i can find this info i would appreciate it. i know as of right now ..i just have a 20 gig and when i connect to my xbox is shows the drives as follows
C:
D:
E:
F:
G:
X:
Y:
Z:
so the same configuration should work with the 320gig, and also your saying that my xbox will support this 320gig Hard drive, what is the limitation to the biggest hard drive???

YES, it will work.
For a limit, who knows, I don't think anyone has tested past 750.
It is my understanding though that at 500+ fragmentation becomes and issue _________________ Hotswap|HDD Upgrade|X3 Guide

yeah...i had say problems would occure...however i've seen a few boxes that are chipped using over 800gigs...so i guess anything is possible, so anyway...why is mine so compatible with this upgrade when other xboxes arent?, basically...what features did microsoft change?

what i meant was (basically mines a no-brainer to setup for a larger hd) i didnt mean that others wasnt compatible...because with chips, and some of the guru's i've met almost anything is possible with the xbox.

i'll tell u the craziest thing i've ever witnessed was a guy the turned his psp into a remote control for his actual full sized car...that was crazy as hell was limited to different things...but it worked.
