i have to reflash my bios on my chip with a programmer and was wonderin when i do that will i have to reformat my hard drive if so how can i get the stuff of that hard drive i have tried pluggin into my computer n it wont show up i have tryed unlockin it with a tool on my pc but it doesnt recongnize the hard drive what do i do to get the stuff off?

well i jus got my programmer in today n i plugged it up n i cant get it to read my chip says no chip detected there are 3 lights on it that the guide says should light up all light up but the blue one what am i doing wrong?

now i get a blinking light but still not detected and yes i have the mod chip enabled i read a forum that said u had to plug that up n enable it its been enabled the whole time so plz someone tell me what im doing wrong

So its powered throguh either the 9v battery or USB? K.

I just bought a brand new one n i even tryed pluggin it in the back of the computer. You are talkin about the DB25 cable but if not i have tryed pluggin it in on a different usb plug n it doesnt work ethier.. Ne suggestions

Yeah, the db25(printer cable). Which program are you using to program the chip? If your using the xecuter program(don't remember the name) make sure that your changing the LPT port its looking at.

its doin the same thing i set it to 378 and i selected the x2 lite i dont know what the f**k is wrong its really makein me mad cause ive been messin with it all day and cant figure it out maybe i should jus buy a new chip or somethin dont make much since at all but i wish i could use the cd to flash it but frags when i put it in the box if u can tell me ne other way to fix it it would b appreciated

Have you tried the other ports?
Do you have another chip, or a friend with a chip, that you can attached to the programmer or xbox to test with?
