Okay, you guys have been great and I'm getting more brave to do more things to my xbmc!
I want to add the function of being able to turn on/off my xbox with my remote and was wondering which addon do you guys recommend or have and is easy? I found this website: http://cheaplpc.com/xir/default.asp
How easy is it to do and can I then program any universal remote to use this?
Also, I'm going to upgrade my HD to a bigger one. I read your tut, but it only says about swapping the old one to a new xbox, unless I missed the right tut. Will I have to reinstall my soft mod and xbmc into the new hard drive or can I just transfer it to the new hard drive with a software program. How easy is it to upgrade to a bigger hd? I mean, I've read how to open the xbox and install it, but I'm talking about the locking to the new hd and copying the eprom etc?
TIA guys

Okay, I guess I spoke to soon. I just found the "how to upgrade HD" with a softmod tut. I have ndures krazy exploit, so I'm using unleash x. I went into my e:\backups, and found my eeprom and c drive, so do I just ftp this over to my pc? Also, the tut says to backup my c and e drive, but is Q drive really my e drive? So I just ftp e drive over to my pc? Once I get the new HD installed, I can just use dvd2xbox to rip my games to my game folder?

Now when you say backup, you mean just transfer these folders over to my pc right?
Thanks

Okay, stupid question, I know, anyway, I figured it out and I'm transferring everything from my backup to my xboxhdm folder. All I need to have answered is the question about the XIR aftermarket addon. Does anyone have it or recommend this one?
Thanks

Lazy, actually the XIR looks alot easier to do than this RF relay one. Do you know if anyone has successfully added an on/off button or whatever to the logitech wireless remote?
thanks,
