...wath do i do with that...burn the file ''xboxhdm'' in the prog its said its to decrypte and backup dvd ....i dont wanna backup dvd.Someone could tell me how to burn this file.iso with this prog... im lost pls hlp
and btw i got a Cd-Roms driver not a dvd-roms driver.

Just wanted to chip in my 2cents - I was screwed with a corrupted HD (softmod) and needed to restore the HD. I found Pirrup's tutorial, but really struggled with getting a copy of the ms dash (backed it up - on the xbox, but hadn't got it ftp'd across to PC yet - doh!). I did SOooo much hunting around for answers. Turns out my main problem was that I used some other ISO extraction tool that was not extracting the AID iso correctly. I used cxbox iso extractor to get it, and hey presto - there's the dash I need. Awesome! thanks guys you rock!
Now I can mess around with confidence knowing I can recover if I need to! AWESOME!!!!

Once i'd loaded the xbox and ran the prog off the cd i was asked if i wanted to overwite the drives and i wrote yes then it just came up with a command promp with a number at the end. However now the xbox comes up with another error instead of 13 or 14 it comes up with 16. Does this mean that the disk i burnt isn't working or that i didn't do the hotswap right. Do i need to have a tv plugged into the xbox while i hot swap the hd?
