You don't have to reinstall the msdash. Something just got corrupted or erased no biggie. Glad everything worked out.
Everything still not working yet...the only good new is that i'm able to boot an original...
...from then,i'll need a litlle help to refresh my memory to know what i have to do now because it's my first corrupted softmod i have to repair:
Do i have to fix or add something missing in the installation
( Obviously this is my first choice to avoid having to re-install apps ,emus, and reconfig all the restricted acces with passwords.)
Or re-install et re-config from A-Z is truly necessary?

Ok...finally i solve the problem (with all of you )
First: Maybe i paniqued a little earlier because when my friend find an original the xbox came back to life.
Second:I've just restore the softmod in a few seconds but without puting back the MS dash after.
Third: I think i know what could happen to have an error 21 ...when i've just finished the softmod,i decide to put back the ms dash 5960.I forgot to re-mod and patch it after. So the softmod won't boot anymore!
I copy/paste a part of the instructions to show you what i could possibly made wrong to have an error 21 .Then, i would like to have your opinions
8. If you want to put the MS Dashboard back on your Xbox, you'll need to put MS Dash 5960 on your Xbox. The easiest way to do this (once the box is softmodded) is to use my Auto-Installer Deluxe to delete the files from C Drive and install the latest MS Dash. Note: when this is done you'll have to repeat steps 3 to 7.
9. Restart your Xbox with the DVD tray open to bring up the Softmod menu. Run the "Patch MS 5960" now, and it will put the MS Dash back on C Drive, and patch it so your Dashboards can now use it. Note, the MS Dashboard will be called msdash.xbe now, since the Xbox still needs the hacked xboxdash.xbe in order to boot the softmod. Once you've selected this option, it will run through some tasks, then boot PPF-XBOX to do the rest. After PPF-XBOX has done it's work it will restart your Xbox
Is there any possibilty to ''scrap'' the softmod by just putting back the MS dash the wrong way?
Thanks to all of you who are helping!

If you re-install the MS dashboard on your Xbox without using the special softmod install option in AID 2, yes your softmod will be gone after you install 5960.
You'll have to softmod it again by loading up your game from dvd, then creating a ms backup, installing the softmod, then using the patch ms 5960.
That should work for you.

Thanks DJB for this final reply!
Now i'm satisfied by knowing exactly what i've done wrong for not repeating it!
