i finally got a deal in acquiring an xbox with a original mecchassault game cd and a memory card... hopefully its the right one.... ill let u know as soon as it is delevered,,, i finally will be getting a softmod exploit in my unit

hi,,,
got the xbox with a memory card, mechassault original game cd and a remote controller,,, and now im trying to softmod it but im stuck with the putting the exploit to the memory card step i was able to ftp it but the unmodded xbox cant see it im stuck.....

hi.....!
i got the memory card installed with the mecchassault run linux and the sid 5.0 have it copied then i run linux from the mecchassault game cd but it gives me error 21 again im stuck in there,, i guess its a dashboard problem as i read all forums i could find all night... but i was wondering i have not done anything yet to the xbox it still has its original 10gb hd all i have done so far for it is copy the linux and sid then run mechassault isnt it too early to get error 21? how can i deal with it?

sounds like you was hooked to the net while you did the install.
Unhook the net cable and pop in the newest live game you got and set up an online game.
that should fix the error 21.

thanks for the reply! it seems there are still nice and sharing (knowledge) guys in the net like you hehehe.... .. ill try that today! only if i can find a newer games as you said i should ... well if it then works ill post asap.. but how about the other one i have that has no hard disk (i got a spare 500gig hitachi brand) with a broken unfixable chip? can i softmod it also? (after of course i remove the chip) got it busted while trying to do all sorts of hacks i read in the forums.. guess its not good to follow all what one has read in the forums...

If you dont have the eeprom bin for the broke xbox you will need to chip that box to get it going.

yes i dont have the eeprom bin for that i accidentally erased everything on its original 10gb hdd... if i ever got it chipeed then will i able to get it? i mean by backing up eeprom and bios from auto installers deluxe..
chip the box (borrowed chip)
install hardmod auto installers deluxe
back up eeprom
ftp backup to pc
remove chip
softmod box
will the above step do?

btw. is there a way or is there any xbmc version (media player) that pauses or stops playing a media whenever a contoller is unplugged, then resumes playing whenever i plug it right back in? i mean a controller (presence) sensitive media player.. because the xbmc that is included in the auto installer deluxe still plays media even if i unplug the controller (after i play media) .. any idea how can this be done?

error 21 fixed..
i just re download everything to the console unmodded unchipped xboxi used mecha installaler and softmod 5.10, pop in the original mechassault cd.. the run linux code 21 gone but now its a blank screen,,,,,, how can i fix it tneh any idea guys?

Hello joan23,
Somtimes when there are other gamesaves, the softmod will not installcorrectly.start the xbox with MA in the drive and run linux again. Uninstall the softmod (restore to originall dash). Check the gamsaves on the harddrive and make sure only the two exploits are loaded. Then all you have to do is go through the softmod process again.

done ive cleared all game saves and still a blnk screen..
i dunno what am i doin wrong with my softmoddling,, ive tried sid 4.0 to 5.10 and also krayzies and also nknave to the letter, but none seems to work with my consoles 2 units already iive been using the mecchassault exploit but im still facing a blank screen, first it was error 21 now its blank screen... the original mechassault cd im using is also the one mentioned in all of the tuts... serial number and all, going down hard, normal etc. the memory card is the original xbox 1 memory card, the way i transfer the files is trhu chip modded xbox., msdash 5960 is also present in both xbox..
guys, any ideas whats wrong?

is there a way to acquire the eeprom data from an xbox1 unit,? i have a xbox1 without a modchip and hdd, but i have a spare ide hdd.. is there a way to put this together and have it working without a modchip?

hi...
i now got the original splinter cell 3 in one package, a halo2 and a farcry instincts,(all fresh just like newly released title not even one scratch on the disk) and i tried softmoddling 2 units of xbox1 with splinter cell game save but none worked, everything is like with mecchassault first it was error 21 when i got it fixed by using different versions of softmod installers i got a blank screen, i even tried updating the ms dash by using the halo2 and farcry disk, it wont update! it always go to account creation without updating... so i guess is both unit is updated already,, but why blank screen?? HHHeeelp plz!!!
