I wasn't sure if I could delete the trainers folder itself or just its content, so I marked the content and tried to delete it. but the progress bar isn't moving at all, it's stuck at 0% - what's wrong? And what to do now? can I simply shut it down and try again?

Shuting it down should be fine since its just trainers and not a major dash file.

If you can run the file manager from AID you might try to delete the trainers folder in E drive and clear the cache.
If I got you right, you're having your dashboard on C-drive, not in E-drive, right? If so, load up aid, open file manager, go to C-root (C:\ ) and take a peek if you have THERE a folder named "Trainers" (path=C:\Trainers ).
If you have, delete. As far as I know, it shouldn't be an issue if it's in E:\Apps\XBMC, coz it normally loads default dash from C-drive (no matter if it's EvoX, XBMC, UnleashX or whatever). Then, clear X-, Y- and Z-drives (cache drives).
Any results now?

Hmm - what files do I need to look for to know where the dashboard is on?
C: is empty.
There is something on D:, folders like bios, files, apps
on E: is the most data. also a file called evoxdash.xbe
F: is also empty
and there's some data on X;Y;and Z
does this help?

evox.xbe is the file that starts the dashboard, so your dashboard has got to be in the E:\ partition. _________________
your SoftModded box should look something like this :
C: Location of the MS Dash
D: The xbox dvd rom
E: your hacked dash (the evoxdash.xbe and associated files)
F: Your own apps and emus
X:
Y:
Z: the x,y,z folders are just cache folders, the contents can be safely deleted. _________________

Just unmount the virtual C to make sure and use the AID disk to revert it back to stock, then resoftmod it.

ok, so at least the unmodding worked, ready to re-mod.
I was told, that the gmaesave wasn't deleted by unmodding, but where it is located? can't load the gamesave with splinter cell...
is there somewhere an easier to understand step by step instruction for dummies than the manual? There are still a lot of things that are not further explained and i have no idea in this field...
