I need to have something installed along with the MsDash. Even while my xbox worked, it would only work when the mod chip was switched on. When I'd cut off the switch the power would come on, but the screen would be blank and the dvd drive would'nt open.
The only way I can get anywhere is keeping the switch on. If the MsDash can run with the switch on great! I'm not certain what chip he installed, I know he soldered 2 points under the motherboard and 1 place above. And when my box worked, underneath the X logo would be xecuter 2. If there's a way for me to give more detailed info let me know and I'll check and tell you. Anything to get it working. Thanks for all the effort so far guys.

i had the same problem and all i did was throw in my aid 3 disc to format the hdd and install eveything.now my xbox works fine.Even though youre getting an error throw the disc in and reboot it so it reads the disc before trying to go to the dash.

The only way I got anywhere was to hotswap with xboxhd and using files from the slayers v2.7 disc. Then I could launch the AID disc.
