Well, its expensive. The new Photoshop CS3, available from Adobe, is £569.88 (thats $1,147.92).
Like I said, not a cheap program so you really have to be able to justify purchasing it. I'm sure you could still buy older versions though, like CS2 or version 8.

holy crap....wow that is expensive! that how much i paid for my car lol remember the geo tracker performance FTW topic? yeah well i didnt even pay that much for it and i get more use from it then i would photoshop. _________________

Photoshop 7.0 aint too bad. Thats the version I used to use in school and it works fine. I bet you can get a cop of that for a more reasonible price. _________________

Photoshop 7 was the very first version I had too. A good little version that. Mind you, I've just shelled out for CS3 as I use it for graphical design, so I get to have a play with that now

I got a pal of mine that needs photoshop for his job and thay gave him a free disc so he told them he needed one for working at home and hooked me up CSE is what i used to make my sig and avatar its real sweet but thank god i dont have to pay that for it.
I told him i owe him one but i did not know i owed him that much.

The best way to learn any app I find, is to get an idea of what you want to do, open up Photoshop and start playing. Learn what everything does and just build from there. Use the help files and tutorials if you get lost or can't find something, before you know it, you'll be creating like crazy.
