Just wanted to say thanks again for everyone's help. I am hoping to try the hotswap tonight , I am waiting on a download of AID 3.0 and it is a slow connection and I do not want to reboot just yet. The download says it still has a few more hours with around 17kb/s. I will let everyone know how it went. Hopefully it will be a positive and successful hotswap.

Okay guys the hotswap technique worked great. I have a brand new xbox again which I can now softmod. I could not have done it without your help. So thanks a million!
Now I am going to read up on how to ftp to my Xbox. What dash or program do I need from AID 3.0, Unleash?

Once again thanks for the help, all.
I am now trying to FTP my Xbox to my PC. I am using Unleash via AID 3.0 and SmartFTP on my PC. I put the ip address from my XBOX which is:
192.168.0.2
password: xbox
login: xbox
I am using a router with regular Cat 5 lines to my PC and my XBox. Of course I should mention that I have never used live so it may be something simple as my hookup arrangement.
When I go to my network I can only view TCP/IP on the bridge which is set to auto detect IP address.
Can someone guide me on this, I sure do appreciate it and have a great day.
