Once you have the gamesave transfered. Make sure those are the only gamesave on the hdd for that particular game.
Back up the m$dash and the eeprom.
Then proceed with the softmod install.

ok heres the latest, I manage to get the files onto my usb pen with ar software, but when i plug it into my xbox i cannot find the files on the usb pen hmmmm strange it just shows a ms install there.

Ok update, I dont think the xbox likes my usb memory, I have come to this conclusion because i have copied a save game from my xbox onto the pen drive unplugged it after it was compleate and plugged it back in to the xbox and the file has disappeared, this is the only usb pen drive i have I do though have loads of memory sticks lying around ranging from 16mb up 512mb, but the only memory card reader i got is on my pc any ideas how to attatch this to a male usb lead and i can try it that way ?
