you need dvd2xbox to be able to copy to drive....you can find it on either the XED or AID3 disc which can be downloaded from links in my signature....
in unleash x there is a function that copies the game to the harddrive in the misc section. Ive used it loads of times.

Does unleashX use acl files to patch the xbe?? Dvd2xbox does, and I've had all but 1 game work using dvd2xbox. _________________

But, no UnleashX doesn't use the ACL, and sometimes DVD2XBOX might fail to do it right with some games due to long names on files, and the renaming etc.
