ok so ur saying ur retail hd is giving you this problem???

or u have problems ftping the files????

u just need 1 file to ftp and its ur EEPROM

u dont need anything else.. pick up retail files from pirrup .. its 5960 ver...

Yep, I was getting problems FTPing again, and also when using the AID menus to copy stuff or install new stuff. When I booted the XBox next time, I couldnt get past the error 13 no matter what I did, I think I really screwed the drive up

So, I took a 60gb HDD I have here, ran XBOXHD and built a new HDD from scratch using the EEPROM on the Linux disk. rebooted my PC and locked the HDD

Put the HDD back in the XBox, it now boots to AID and lets me copy and FTP no problem at all, so it seems I'm good to go now with my new large hard drive?

I just need to run through the new HDD tutorials here on getting a dash loaded I think

What do you reckon?

so ur sayin u already got ur upgrdae hd runnign??? and u loaded aid? how is it that u loaded aid if u got no dash ??? or hacked info:? aid is an unsgined code....

Well, I don't know, but I'm running Forza from the HDD no problem

When I started out last week, I hotswapped, backed up all the info, then installed the UXE exploit and EVOX dash

After that, I backed up the EEPROM and rebuilt my XBOXHDM image with what was on the HDD, which must have included EVOX

So now when I build a new hard drive using XBOXHDM, it brought back EVOX and I was able to lock/unlock the hard drive no problem using linux

Now I can either boot with no DVD in, and it goes to EVOX, or I can boot to AID and then install a new dashboard if I want to I supposed

Interestingly, I can now FTP using EVOX no problem, so I must have screwed up the old drive by not locking/unlocking correctly?

I FTP'd Forza while EVOX was running, and launched it from there no problem

Yep, I think I'm sorted now

All I will do now is load a new dashboard when I get the time, but now its all working, I wont rush to do that !

At least now I know I can restore my original config using XBOXHDM
