Just got Chimp 2.4 today and went to use it on my v1.6 went through telnet and got everything workin but it wouldnt let me lock my HDD that it said was lockable I actually tried another HD I had laying around and same thing with it. I started it all back up and went to scan the first drive again and it said it was locked so I hooked it up and tried it in my box and I get error 13. Any idea as to what might be goin on here guys? Thanks for any help in advance. _________________

Before anyone asks I followed the tutorial for the v1.6 Xbox exactly as it was written and yes its the one on this site. _________________

Well if your getting the big 13 then you got the eeprom wrong or in the wrong place, or you got the dash xbe file in the wrong place.
Thats what it sounds like to me man.

Thats kinda what I was thinkin but I locked it using the motherboard option and I did everything else just like the tutorial said. I'll try lockin it w/ the other options later if anyone else has any ideas on why this might happen let me know. _________________

I almost forgot what I'm mainly wonderin about is why chimp said it could lock my HD but then it wouldnt lock and then when I hooked it back into Chimp to try again it said my HD was locked. BTW just went to use chimp again today and to completely redo the process on both the HD's I have and now when I go to format and select yes it just sits there and does nothing I really need help to get chimp up and runnin guys. O wes saw your post "dumster divin" you copyin me now man thats how I got my Xbox for $20 lol. _________________

Your best bet is to pm finel cloud hes the chimp master of the site.
He dont drop in much anymore but if you pm him he wil hit you back.
