If you're looking to mod your box to run unsigned code this is the place to ask for help. Are you looking to do a hardmod (chip) or softmod (exploit)? There are plenty of people out here that are more than willing to help, you just have to be more specific. Try looking at some of the other posts and searching the tutorials. Theres a wealth of knowledge on this site if you're willing to spend the time to look. _________________

Can you imagine if that was posted over at the "Scene"? They still be flaming ya!! Just take a look around, read the stickys and tutorials. As a quick answer, no, you don't need a chip..you can perform a softmod on you box. _________________ My Setup:

Everyone starts somewhere. Xbox-HQ will never discriminate based on whether you have 1 post or 1000 posts, whether you're a mod veteran or whether the prospect of modding for the first time scares you.
All the guys here understand that the first time you go for a mod, its a worrying time. Thats why we're here to help every step of the way.

hi and tx to all the thing i want to do is acsess my x-box trou my compiuter and modify the hd of the x-box but cant acess it i guess im missing somthing i even took out the hd and put it in my compiuter to look at it but windows dosent reconis it im chur im close but not enuf tx for the help

well see, the xbox in stock state will not allow you to FTP or even use netword file sharing.
Also, the hdd is locked with tah motherboard, so ONLY that mobo can unlock it to use it, no other can unless you unlock it with the correct eeprom which you would have to mod your xbox b4 you can get that.
