Hi all,
did'nt think i'd be back so soon but here I am !
Installed the new XBMC from AID 3.10 and got the XBMC to launch on boot up and now I want to get the vid files to look nice and sweet with the DVD artwork. I have selected various files and pulled up the menu and hit the Get information from IMDB option but it then prompts me to type with the onscreen keyboard, displaying the title of the file which is the title of the film correctly spelled. Anyway, I click the Done button and it just disapears then reapperas agin, prompting me to type again. I have tried this with various file sand its the same deal. a friend of mine walked me through the process on his XBox XBMC ( using the XBox 360 cam - a use at last !!) and once he hits done on the onscreen keyboard it lists all simialr titles, he then picks one and the thumbnail and all the film information is written to the file - BRILLIANT !! But this does not work for me, i'm thinking:-
1) My Xbox won't write to the drive, and yet I can FTP to it from my PC with ease, dropping/writing files to the XBox HDD no problem !
2) I can't access the net from the XBox. This could be the case actually as I remember trying to use Kai XLink and it would not do anything. If this is the case do I need to open some port or something ? Is there a setting that needs to be changed ? I have looked around at the Network settings in XBMC but not found anything obvious !
My XBox is softmodded and I am using XBMC ver from AID 3.10.

Any advice very welcome.

Cheers in advance,
Vega.....

UPDATE:

OK I have connected the ethernet cable directly to the cable modem and still cannot get access to the net, ruling out any port/firewall problems and tested the Weather feature, it is coming up blank !!

I'm thinking there is some setting in XBMC/XBox itself I need to change/update but cannot for the life of me find it, any help on this is greatly appreciated !!

Vega....
