I'm using SID 3 and AID 2.11 to softmod my Xbox using XBMC as the default Dash. Can I configure the tray open option to launch another dash as a backup??

yes.. Im pretty dam certain you could do this but you are best to speak with DJB about it since he wrote the sucker.. Smile

Ill email DJB now to see if he has any info for you to help.
Im sure it wont be too hard.. He is obviously booting two different xbe's anyway..

Sorry i dont have any more info mate but im flatout lately with other stuff.. Been letting my xbox slip a little.. lol

With SID 3 that could be quite tricky. Like forahobby said, yes the tray open and closed boots different XBE files, however to change what XBE is booted on the tray open you'd have to manually compile the Nkpatcher XBE with the path you want. At the moment, the tray open path boots C:\SID\Unleashx.xbe (which is the SID 3 menu).

The easiest thing to do would be to install Xselect, then you have the option of booting 8 different files on startup, just by pressing a button on the controller when the xselect message shows up (pressing no buttons will take you to a default). There is a little bit of configuration you have to do with Xselect before you get it working though.
