I burned the AID ISO onto a CD and I can't get the Xbox to boot off of that. I used SID and it worked great, I'm staring at the EvolutionX screen right now. DO i need to update my Bios or anything, my Xbox BIOS is (256)4034 Retail. I'm not sure how to get AID to boot, so I can install the other applications.
I just used a 700meg CDR, do I have to use a DVD burner ?
On the CDR was i supposed to add rar files?
When the AID tool came up on my pc, i told it just to use the ISO as is,, please tell me what I did wrong.

You need a chip and a hacked bios to run AID. You don't need the chip to softmod though. I would also recommend using a DVD-R disc and adding the dummy file that came with aid. Use the tool to add the dummy file then burn the iso. Also what version xbox do you have? _________________

Which BIOS do I use that came with AID, I see quiet a few to choose from. Thanks for the help so far guys. One more thing, if I can't get the Xbox to see the CD that I burned, how do I update the BIOS on the Xbox?

You say you used sid to softmod your box I guess that’s it
After all if not how are you running EvolutionX
But not all xbox DVD drives read cdr & cd-rw discs
so you may have to burn aid to DVD so your box
Can read it.

I have just had a 15/02/2002 xbox that would not read AID 2.11 final from a CD-RW. (all the other xbox's so far have been OK)
Burn it onto a DVD and it should be fine... _________________
