when i was modding my xbox i guess i messed up somehow and when i open my tray with no dics in it it says service call and than number 16 in the corner i cant neven play any games or nothing is there any way i can fix it or do i have to send it in?

error 16 is a dashboard issue, but more info is needed to help.

My bet is you tried a softmod and replaced a file that shouldn't have probably, or you installed a new HD and haven't yet loaded a dash, or loaded some improper files.
Very easy to fix.
If a softmod was the mod you did, pirrup probably has a tutorial that will fix what ails you.
Or, you can install a mod chip and then run AID 2.0 to restore your HD.
If you already installed a chip and just popped in a new HD, then you need to use AID 2.0 and reformat your C: drive and then just install MS dash and EvoX dash..then install your apps if you haven't already.
Your machine isn't broke by any stretch of the means. When you have error codes and error messages, that's a lot better than having the black screen (no video or audio) and a frag.

modgod is correct
first try to boot the exploit retail game and reload the savegame so you can redo the softmod .
if you can't boot discs then you will need to do my hotswap tutorial .
If you find hotswap to hard then you better buy a chip .
