Hi all!
I am just learning how to mod Xboxes from my Dad Shark2th. He signed me up as a VIP member just last night. He wanted me to introduce myself and say hi to everyone.

Greetings and welcome to Xbox-Hq.
Your dad is pretty good when it comes to xbox stuff, so I'll guess that he can teach you a lot of the things that you need to know. Ofcourse, the team will be here to help with any problems either of you two have.
I have to say how amazed I am too see how younger and younger the modders are these days, lol.

Man, I have some Turkish friends, they would say " Hey Buddy" with a thick turkish accent. Don't know what it would sound like in Turkish. _________________ XBOX v1.6

Thanks guys. He is the first one that is old enough to start to understand what we do here and he's been itching to get on here and start to talk to ya. He was talking a bit with DJB the other night (thanks for taking the time DJB, it meant a lot to him). He has seen what mine does and he's ready to start modding or learning anyway. Don't worry too much, he's a smart lad and I doubt we need to worry about him on the site. But I do know that if he's going to start to become interested in this kind of thing, then this is a great place to start. I bought him a year and told him if he's really in to it, I'll buy him the life time.
Again, thanks for the warm welcomes. I'm sure he'll get a real kick out of it. I'm not sure how I will explain the penguin thing... uh, my character name is going to be the difficult part. Wonder if I can just say batman and robin.. doh _________________ http://twitter.com/HQ_Shark2th

LOL
I'm sure you'll be able to show him most of the ropes and get him going a little bit. Atleast he knows how to use punctuation (Capital letters, full-stops etc.) unlike a lot of other members here lol.
It's maybe a little late for him to get a really good experience out of the xbox like most of us that have grew up with it over a while now (mainly because all the xbox apps are coming to a standstill now and preparing for xbox 360 projects) but ofcourse this experience he'll gain now will come useful for future consoles, and he'll still have lots of fun learning how to do different things (for example installing a Debug PBL setup to turn your xbox into debug hehe).
PC knowlegde is a good one to get younger people into aswell, maybe even some form of programming if they are up to it. Put it this way, I started stuffing around with computers when I was about 7-8 years old, and done some small-time programming and composing on and old ancient Commodore 64 (up to about 6 years ago), and look where it's got me. I didn't even own a PC for years, and when I got my first one I had it pretty well worked out. It's just basic computer knowlegde, confidence, skills, and adaptability which makes things so much easier. For example, loading up a PC app that you need in order to do a job, and being able to just work it out by looking at options, progam settings etc.
Remember, windows is only a program, and a very buggy one at that, lol.
Anyways, enough crapping on from me, go teach him some stuff
