Hi
I softmodded my xbox 2 months ago with Softmod Installer Deluxe 1.01. I heard about people who had their softmodded box unplugged for too long, leaving them with an error when booting due to a fuxxored clock-setting. Can this happen to a SID 1.01 modded box, too? If yes, does SID 2.0 have the same "prob"?
I need a definte answer, please, no guessing
thanks in advance

Not sure if it happens with the SID but the reason it happens if when you unplug the xbox for too long the clock no longer holds time.....kinda if the power in your house went out your alarm clock resets. The only thing I can think of is dont unplug it for too long. No real way to "fix" the problem. I mean no matter what you do the xbox still loses power and settings when unplugged too long. So I doubt the SID will fix it as it has to do with the xbox not having power for an extended period of time _________________ Xbox v1.0

Well, I don't care about it resetting. The problem is, that if the clock is not set, the xbox will not boot properly, because it starts xboxdash.xbe with certain parameters to immediatelly bring the clock settings-screen when booting. Now, a Softmodded xbox doesn't have the original xboxdash.xbe therefore givin an error on booting when the clock is not set (due to whatever reason). Now, UXE based softmodds can omehow circumvent this whole thing. I would like to know, if SID is one of those softmods.

I doubt this has the bug, i modded a friends xbox an month ago and he left it here. It wasn't plugged in for a good 3 weeks. I pluged it in to see what would happen and nothing did , it worked fine and dandy So i dont think SID 2.0 is afected.
