Hi, I have installed a Xenium Sp.Ice with OS2.0 on a V1.6 box, all works well. also installed the EvoX M8 1.6+ bios
Problem is when I install a 250Gb Hitachi HD and use the the AID 1.01 under the EvoX Bios, when I choose to format/set up drive, it does it as if the drive is a 120Gb drive
Is there somthing I'm missing? help appreciated, thanks

O.K ... done some searching and found a program called Evotool?
Anybody use this, seems you need to patch the M8 Bios for it to see a bigger than 137Gb HD?
How do you run the tool? or any other recommended ways of doing this?

Actually, you are half right. You dont actually do the patching. The M8_16 bios that you are using (for 1.6) or M8 for 1.0-1.5, or M8+ for 1.6b, should already have the LBAF8 hack already patched to the bios. What EvTool does is change the properties of the hack.
You can make the bios only allow up to 137GB and you will get you typical partitions C, E, X, Y, Z and the F partition which will have the bulk of your storage.
You can make the bios allow more storage above and beyond 137GB, and still keep the C, E, F, X, Y, Z, partitions but make everything after 137GB go to the F drive still.
You can make the bios allow more storage than above and beyond 137GB, and not only keep the C, E, F, X, Y, Z partions, but everything after 137GB will go to a 7th partition (G) instead of it all adding to the F partition.
To so this, just install the software on your PC. Open the bios up (of course the bios should be saved to your PC) and look at the option for the LBA48 patch. Change it to what you want, and then save the bios. Then, reflash your mod chip with the newly configured bios and reformat your HD.
