Hi guys,
Just thought id throw up a quick .SWF to show you what i have been working on.. Dont laugh.. hehe lol.. Its taken a few days (couple hrs per day) to get this far.. Once i get a basic game engine writting i will start pumping out all the classics..
Just remember im teaching myself to code swf (actionscript) so it will take a little while.. I can code all the basics like frogger game but am learning all the time.. Its good actually .. I enjoy learning..
anyway, have a browse at this game.
KEYS:
move character - LEFT/RIGHT ARROW KEYS
jump - A
use sword - S
Knock on doors - UP (in front of door)
If you have played the original im sure you will see the similaritys.. If you know about the hidden coins on the first stage at the tree then try and get it.. it works. lol

Man I'm gonna love this when it's done...
The A and S keys are switched around, plus you can't really press up a lot because it scrolls the screen up.

Yeh, Thats because its embedded in the forums.. Once i get it on its own page you will be able to push up and it wont move the page..

Check out Sonic in our NON-HISCORE SECTION of the FlashGames module.. It doesnt support hi-scores at the moment but im trying to get in touch with the author and get his permission to add hiscores.. I see that IPBArcade.com have illegally edited his source but i will wait until i can contact the author and have his full persmission..
