Hi, I have started modding xboxes... I have been using Xenium chips (solder an solderless). I built a few xboxes with 160Gb HDs in them an I couldn't use the 20+ Gb that was missing. I then used the executer 2 XX67 bios, an was able to get rest of the space by using the G: drive. I built another for me an wanted to use 1 BIG 250Gb HD on 1 partition! ((does anyone know how to get the xenium do that???))
so I got 2 X3s... Installed fine in my v1.4 xbox!!! So now here is the problem... Installed the X3 in a 1.0 xbox, works BUT, the chip doesnt save any settings or changes I make , except changing the skin an logo!!!! I have checked my solders 4 times!!!! I have changed the 250 Gb HD out for another an did a complete format an install!!!! Still wont remember anything I change in the X3. also the X3 wont connect online or let me ftp into it ( I can ftp in all the dashboards ).
Please HELP!!!! what is the FIX!!!
on the 1st xbox (v1.4) I flashed 1959, 2913, then 2914 ( without the dip switches hooked up, an I know the default is 1-4 1Mb bank one this way )
on the 2nd xbox (v1.0) I flashed 2913, then 2914 in the 1-4 block with the dip switches connected!!! on on off off off , PLEASE help me, I was gona give this to a friend !!! Confused & stomped!!!

Get the X2 4983.06 bios. Then you have everything on the F partition. If it's a 1.6 machine though, you can get M8_16 that is only set for an F partion. I have the bios if you need.
Sorry I cant tell you why your X3 wont save, I have heard of that before. Personally, I hate that chip so I don't troubleshoot much with it. I only install it when a customer insists. Just have had too much bad luck with that chip.
If you want to have flawless stable machines, in my opinion stick with SmartXX V2, then SmartXX LT OPX (except for 1.6), then Xenium Ice

That's a bit of a strange one.....never heard of that before
I've got an X3 in a v1.0 box and never had any probs with it at all......in fact i'd recommend it to anyone........but i suppose its each to there own
Maybe its a faulty chip.....the only thing i can suggest is flash the chip with the latest 3029 bios and see if that solves your prob and check all your settings in config live....you never know you might have switched something off when it should be on and visa versa.
A post on team Xecuters webby might be order.....if anybody's gonna know someone there will.....well you'd like to think so

I'm having the same problem with 2 of my xecutor 3 chips. I got it up and working, and like a day or 2 later, it won't save the changes, it dosn't stop booting to config live, even after I tell it not to, and nothing will fix it. If anyone out there knows why, please let me know.
