Posted: Sat Feb 19, 2005 4:46 pm Post subject: I am having troubles getting my xbox Ip connection
I recently bought a 50' XBOX System link cable it says it connects TWO XBOXs game console for multiplayer Mode with multiplayer games. So i went ahead and bought it for 11.18. Well i am trying to connect using Qwix, which someone told be to use since i have the EvoX, and the Avalaunch, which for some reason i try to load the Avalaunch from the EvoX it says loading, and doesn't do anything. The persod how put the FTOP flash in it for me said he put that in, but it isn't working for me, so i am trying to use the EvoX dashboard from Qwix. From Qwix I go to add and auto-detect settings. But nothing pops up when i link it. But on the cable it is a gray cable, and it says SPACE SHUTTLE-C MULTI-LAN VERIFIED (UL) CAT5E PATCH CABLE AND ETL to EIA\TIA-568A 4UTP 24AWG STRANDED CM E129760 CSA LL80671 AWM 2A/B 80'C 300V FT4. Since a xbox system link cable is the same as the crossover cable it is supposed to work, or i got ripped. Or is there something, i am doing wrong, and how do i fix it.

You can only use Quix through Avalaunch Dash not Evox. The person who installed it for you might have the files for Avalaunch in the wrong location on the HDD or he didn't name them correctly.

actually i thought Qwix worked with any dash but was made for Avalaunch and provided quicker transfers when used together. not sure, as i only use Avalaunch. enver tried it with another dash. i'd get AID if you want to install new dashboards. oo and that cable should work for connecting your pc to the xbox directly.

I only use Avalaunch myself , even though I have other dashes installed with Xselect , and I just assumed that it only worked with Avalaunch.
