I just got the AID. What do I do to load it to my xbox. On the donload site it said that it was an iso file. Can I just burn the whole thing and run it ?
I am using Xbox V1 and Xenium 2.0. I know that there are better chips out there but this is the only one they had at the place where I bought it. Please help, I have been going crazy with this for about a week and have not been able to use my newly modded xbox.
I have tried to burn all kinds of discs and have had no success. If you don't want to tell me how to do it can you please point me in the right direction. ANY help would be greatly appreciated. _________________

Hey enigma516!
It has nothing to do specifically with the chip. First, the Xenium needs to have a hacked bios installed. Without the bios, the chip can't read ANY disk other than official,original game disks. Once you have flashed in the hacked bios, then simply take the burnt ISO on the cd and put it in the Xbox. From there, with a short wait, it should boot and allow you to install dashboards and the like. There are also tutorials that may help as well here on the site. What bios would you recommend. I'm pretty sure I can find one, but I wouldn't know where to start. You guys have been a great help to me and I have learned alot. I know that I still have alot to learn but i guess it just takes time. I just found a manual for Xenium with instructions on how to add bios and ftp with detailed instructions. All I need now is the Bios. Once again I'm back to square 1. _________________

Actually, I think he has a 1.0 machine (look at his signature).
Do not use the M8_16 with a 1.0 machine. The Xenium doesn't care what bios you use. It's the version Xbox that matters. The M8_16 is for 1.6 version machines, that's why you have that wardawg. I usually use Xecuter2 4983 bios on any version Xbox besides a 1.6 when I install Xeniums and SmartXXs.
Hey Enigma, you actually have one of the best chips on the market. Your problem isn't your chip. You have to have a hacked bios flashed to the mod chip before it will allow you to run unassigned code, read disks other than xbox games and so forth.
Personally, I would burn the AID to a DVD-R disk. They tend to be read by most xbox dvd drives regardless of the brand drive you have. The AID is an .iso file, you cannot burn it like a data disk either.
Please let me know if you need more help, but don't use the M8_16 bios. Use the Xecuter2 4983 bios.

Thanks guys. I have DVD+R discs. I'll see if I can get DVD-R discs tonight and try again. I believe a have a thompson dvd drive in my xbox..YIKES!! I'll see what happens. _________________

ok so well im on the vergo of buying the newst xenium ice modchip and im still decing on whether to get a dual layer 16x dvd burner or a 120 gb hdd. i dont know what one i want because im buying a modchip to play backed up games from friends and possibly putting massive roms on the xbox and i got the auto installer package from www.xbox-hq.com and if i do get the modchip how would i install the "auto installer" to my xbox? with just a cd-r and making a "dummy disc" or what, and does anyone know how much room the auto installer package would take if i installed all the apps and stuff from it. and you can also transfer music videos and movies through the ftp am i right? so say i installed a few gbs in videos and maybe 1500 mp3 files how many games can i burn to the hdd? on average if the games were about 3 gb or sumtin like that, well thanks for the help and hope i havent said anything that will get me banned because im new to this forum and it has excellent tutorials and it is very helpfull, well keep up the good work and hopefully one of the members here will be able to assist me.
could i use the c-xboxtool206 to transfer the file to the xbox, and do i have to make the auto installer deluxe an .iso or can i just transfer the files in one foldeR? and im downloading a few xbox roms and emus and would i have to make an iso of the whole file? or just another folder for all the files...

The instruction manual for the Ice chip is called ICE GUIDE and is available on the manufacturers website - www.teamxodus.com
I found the ICE GUIDE to be kind of vague when it came to telling you how to get the bios on your Xbox. I use either FTP or the USB adaptor that comes with the ICE chip and a flash drive.
Hacked bios are not legal software, so you have to look around for them. If you have the AID iso then open it up with a cd/dvd-rom emulator like DAEMON Tools. The manual for AID has bios help in it. _________________ Xbox Version 1.6

You will find any bios you need in our VIP download section. Also, a DL burner is not going to help you create disks for the Xbox. I have yet to get my Xbox to read a burned DL disk. They certainly read pressed DL disks as that is what comes from the factory, but so far they will not read my burned disks. A few have claimed to have gotten the Xbox to read, but when asked for tutorials in what firmware they had to flash to the drive, and stuff like that they clam up pretty good.
I have a newer 16X Memorex DL drive and it has failed. I also tried DL drives by SONY and MadDog Multi-Media. No go.
Flashing the Xenium Ice mod chip is simplistic. Here is the guide that I used the very first machine I did.
It's the older Xenium Ice install manual by Cap269 but it is fantastic and everything you need.

well thanks for the help guys, appreiciate it , well this site i goto for my computer needs, www.ncix.com always has great sales for the newest things out there, so no one has ever told you that they could backup a game onto a dvd-r? then the xbox will read it or what cause im confused because your site (themodgod.com) says that you offer all the roms and emulators on a dvd-r or dvd+r disc so will the xbox read those find but not the other dvd-r discs? well if do plan on buying a hdd do you guys have any suggestions on size? becauze the hdd's are on sale for a WD 200 gb for 129.98 8mb cache buffer but im still looking if it can be locked and of what i read there is no way that you can play live on backed up games on the hdd or dvd-r..... ohh ya and does anyone have any idea how much the uato installer package would take up if you installed everything that came with it? well thats it and once again thanks for the help guys, and possible Ladys _________________ Xenium ice 2.0 (soon)

There seems to be a bit of confusion.
Mod God was telling you that the Xbox will not read Dual Layer DVD-R/+R, because you mentioned a dual layer burner. You can burn single layer DVD-R/+R with a dual layer burner and a modded Xbox will read them.
The section of the Ice Guide that I referred to as being vague is the section that deals with loading hacked Bios. It tells you to load a Bios from a CD-RW, but you cannot read a CD-RW until you have loaded hacked bios...... Ok more confusing then vague: D this is why I mentioned using a flash drive or FTP'ing a hacked bios to your Xbox.
When choosing a hard drive, one thing you want to get is one that is lockable. Check Here for a list of lockable drives. You cannot connect to Live with a hard drive that is not locked.
I am fairly sure you cannot play games from you Hard Drive on Live. In order to play games off your hard drive you must be running a hacked bios. Connecting to Live with a hacked bios will get you banned.
I am not sure how much space is be used by a full install of AID. But you can burn AID to a CD-RW, so it is not that large. _________________ Xbox Version 1.6

oooh ok well i dont really know the diferecne between dual layer and single layer except my friend said can burn more onto dual layer... well if i can find a hacked bios and i burn the games to the hdd i can still play xbox live right? just by cloaking the modchip and bios... _________________ Xenium ice 2.0 (soon)
