i finally got everything right and now i am stuck again. I download some skins, extracted them in a folder, then moved them into my FlashFXP and under the correct spot on my harddrive in my xbox. It is showing up under my xbox just like all the other skins. When I go to change skins, It isn't listed. It is only listed under XBMC and Avalaunch. Do I need to install it some how on my hard drive now that it is put on? and if so, how do i do it?

Can you configure a signature so we know what dash you are running full time..

Also, let us know your xbox version, what chip you have, what bios you are running. It will make life a lot easier for others to help you.

Basically, I have upgraded EvoX skins, Avalaunch skin,s, XBMC Skins, and even MXM Skins and they are all pretty straight forward.

If you have Avalaunch installed as your primary dash, then their should be a skins folder in there too. If you are seeing all the skins located in the folder when you FTP and aren't seeing them when you look in the list the there has to be an issue with the skins ini file?? Not quite sure why you would be having multiple skin issues.

Hopefully, with added information we can better assist you.

I am trying to load EVOX skins to my hard drive. I also have avalaunch. The files that I downloaded I put in the same folder as the other EVOX skins and I see them to choose them as my skin on my EVOX.

Is each skin in its own folder like the ones that were orinially there. Also do they contain the same types of files as the originals.

Okay, well you should be using different skins for each one. So, if you downloaded an EvoX skin, make sure you are putting that in the correct place ie: not in Avalaunch Skin folder. Also, are you unzipping or unrar'ing the files before you send them to the folder? The file should not be compressed. Evox skins are very simplistic. They usually contain two images, and an .ini file. The .ini file is what plots the different areas for information display like Time, Drives, Bios, etc..

I used WinRar and unzipped the files into a folder. you were right, there are 2 pics and an ie file. I am absolutely positive i sent it in the right place. It is C/skins/Atlanta. I downloaded a Atlanta falcons skin. in the same address: C/skins/..... are all the names of my other skins for evox. Do I have to go under the properties or soemthing for the falcons one and change something. It is not showing up on the Evox setting to select as a skin.
Also, I transfered some movies over to my F drive. I can play the movies by using the XBMC or XBMP, but there is no sound. I also tried to send 3 other movies and they did not go through. the connections were right because right after i tried those, the other ones worked (ones with no sound). All of the files I sent were .avi or .mpeg.

Okay, I bet I know..I bet I know..neener neener ha ha... Sorry..I'm regressing..

Dude, I have done this before a few times with roms. When you unzip the files, do you make WinRAR unzip to it's own folder. For instance, if you had a file called atlanta.rar did you have it unzip into a folder called Atlanta..

Because what could have happened is, the person who made the skin zipped up a folder ALSO called atlanta, so when you FTP your Atlanta Folder over to C:/Skins/Atanta you actually have C:/Skins/Atlanta/Atlanta/

This would cause the skin to choke because the hierarchy is all screwed up and the EvoX dash is only looking into the first Atanta folder and when it sees another folder named atlanta it doesn't know what to do with it because it's not the .ini file. You dig?

I am still not all the way sure. I tried to change the file name when i extracted it and it still didn't work. I don't know what else to do.
Also, i sent some ROMS and I can't find them under my SuperNES. I put them in the correct.
and does anybody know why my sound doesn't work on my movies when i play them?

Are these ripped movies?? I know that I have ripped a few DVDs and backed them up to one DVD using CloneDVD2. With that program, I always select Dolby Digital 5.1 for my audio stream. Some of my friends borrowed the movie and could not get audio because their system was not equipped to decode the DTS, or Dolby Digital 5.1 sound.

Not sure if this is your issue or not. But, worth mentioning I think. I seriously doubt you are getting bad evox files. Also, not seeing the roms...dunno. It has to be something you are doing. I wish I knew. I seriously thougth you were possibly FTP'ing a folder within a folder, but I guess that wasn't the issue as you probably would have found that out after I mentioned it.
