Ok I hate to start a new thread but I was wondering of an opinion.
I want to put my DVDs onto the Xbox, but that will take up hella space. So I just want to make a high quality movie file that will play in XBMC.
For example I have a copy of Ali-G and Orgazmo thats about 700MB apece. They are both very high quality but just one file and very small considering quality. They both play on XBMC too.

I was wondering if anyone had a favorite program that can do this that they like to use. I just want to make it into a single file I can FTP to my xbox.

Any suggestions?

Here's the tools I used to use to make a DVD into DivX / XviD

* DVD Decrypter (to rip the DVD to your HDD)
* Dvd2Avi (to seperate the audio stream and make a .d2v file)
* Gordian Knot (to convert the .d2v to a .avs so it can be processed)
* VirtaulDubMod (proccess the .avs, encodes the video, splices the video+audio together).
