I got the solderless chip installed on my 1.0 xbox, with just a little trouble with frag, but it works fine now. It boots up with OS 2.0.1. I backed up the eeprom and now am trying to update the OS via the recovery option. I used the ftp and put the new OS 2.2.1 recovery.bin file on the E: drive. When i use the Recovery option off the xenium menu it reboots, flashing an orange light and constantly scrolling "BootldeReadData data not ready ..." what do i need to do for a solution to this problem?

delete that file and reftp it with a different ftp client ,

try different ftp apps , ,

also try different ftp clients on the xbox side ,

like evox dash , or unleashx dash , or xenium os ftp client

You can also do the CD method. That so far hasn't failed for me.

Download the .iso version of the OS and burn it using Nero or whatever you burn your .iso's with to a disk that your xbox will read.

Pop the disk in the tray and select recovery at the main menu.

Let me know how that goes. TeamXodus actually recommends you use the disk method when updating the OS.
