Hey I just got my xbox back from being modded and now I'm trying to save a game to the stock HD. I have a xenium ice chip and I'm a little confused about how I save a game and then copy it to a DVDR disk. So if anyone can explain this it would help me alot.

Hiya
use dvd2xbox app on your xbox to copy the game to the HD, it's pretty easy to use, if you don't have it in your apps folder then you will need to download it.
To copy to dvd-r then download a program called qwix for your pc, this will allow you to copy the game to the pc, you can then burn in the normal way.

To expand a little on what he said, burning a game to a DVD R will require you to have some FTP skills as well.
Quix is a very cool program to use too, so that is definitely good advice. Since you have the stock HD you will be limited in what you can put on there as you probably only have about 4.5GB of free space.
What you want to do is either use PxHDD loader or DVD2Xbox on your HD. Your modder should have installed those programs for you. On your EvoX main menu go to Launch Applications and select it. Then from your list of apps either select DVD2Xbox, or PxHDD Loader.
For DVD2Xbox, put the game in your machine. You will see at the bottom of the screen it says, INIT...(Initializing) Once it reads the disk properly, it will say something like Xbox Media or something like that and give you the file size.
Next, press A button on your controller.
You will then have to select the folder to save, in your case E:/Games
Press X on your controller to continue. Then Press Start to start ripping.
To use PxHDD Loader, go ahead and launch that app from the list of applications. Pop the game in and follow the instructions. I haven't used that program for a very long time, so I believe you have to press B to save the game to HD, and then once it reads the disk size it will ask you if you want to continue saving. You then press the corresponding button on your controller to confirm.
Once the game is on your HD you have a couple ways to do this. You can use an FTP program to FTP the entire game folder to your PC. Once it's in your PC HD then you use another program such as CXboxTool2 to create the game ISO file.
Once you have the ISO File created, you can use your favorite DVD authoring program, or Nero, or DVD Decrypter (FREE), to burn the game to DVDR disk that your xbox will read. I stick with DVD-R's.
What Quix does is basically combine two steps. It will FTP and create the .ISO all in one step. Then all you have to do is burn it.
I hope we have helped.

install a bigger hdd otherwise i think you may be able to ftp into the D drive and extract all the files to your computer right from there. i know when i was messing around with SmartFTP i accidently clicked on the D drive and i could explore the AID disc.
edit: i was also thinking that maybe if you try using Quix and create an ISO from an FTP folder, you may be able to create an Iso from the D drive that way... i'd try it and find out but i am currently extracting all my games to my computer so i can wipe the drive

alright my game finished so i decided to check out using Quix to make an Iso of the D: drive. it appears to be working. i threw Doa3 into the DVD-rom and then loaded up Quix and selected create Iso on the left hand side and then selected the second option under source "FTP Folder" then i selected the root of D: and then selected create ISO. you pick where on your computer you want it saved and enter a name for the Iso, and it should save it to your computer. so if you have a retail hdd in your xbox, you can still backup games larger than 4.5 gigs.
edit: the iso is still being made right now so i can't say for sure this works yet. actually the files it appears to be extracting don't look to be game files... i'll let you know after it finishes making the ISO
