Hi,

I have a pre-modded xbox but the hard drive in it died.
It’s chipped I’m pretty certain. I got it done in 2008.

I never thought that I would be able to get my xbox working again until I stumbled across this site tonight. It used to run EvoX. Im fairly confident I’ll be able to get it running again now…. But ....

Considering the drive is toast - I have to replace the HDD in it… But I don’t have any of the stock/original files/partitions to set up a newly bought HDD up so the xbox functions even in an un-modded way.

Was just wondering if someone could give me a quick rundown of how I would go about getting a new hard drive for my xbox.... Also how to get the correct files/partitions ect onto the new drive - Esp. considering I don’t have a original xbox drive to clone. (I am willing to buy another xbox to clone the files or do whatever I need to do)

So I was wondering …

Whats the process for this?
Is there anything I need to know about it in advance?
Do I need to buy a certain type of xbox to get the files to match which xbox I have?
Will the type of mod chip that I have impact any of this process?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,
Wan

Install a new hard drive.

SATA HDD with a StarTech IDE2SAT2 IDE-to-SATA adapter and a new 80-wire 40-pin 24" long high-speed IDE cable ( https://ogxstore.com/product/custom-80-conductor-ide-cable/ or https://gameroomcustoms.com/products/custom-80-conductor-ide-cable ).

Prepare it with FATXplorer 3.0 beta on a Windows PC.

Follow the tutorials at https://www.hazeno.com/

The content to write to the drive is provided in file linked there.
