A newer, simpler, freer alternative
With Babylon3 you have automation where it counts and choice where it matters. This has the easiest EEPROM backup to date. Simply boot it and the EEPROM backs up automatically. Whether its a first time mod booting with 007 or you boot via the Softmod Menu the EEPROM backs up each and every time.
Every time you install a mod it will back up your C drive, make a back up copy of the EEPROM and create a virgin 5960 back up and then ask you for permission before making any changes.
With the included AVA backup make a backup of your XBOX HDD and EEPROM on your PC before installing a mod, or even really doing anything on the XBOX. Boot Babylon3 and hit A once. Thats it. Great for upgrading that HDD before ever installing a mod. Why not have a 250GB HDD in the XBOX first time you mod it?
100% SID compliant. I used an identical file structure to when I put the files together for SID5.12, which used an identical setup to SID5.11 ,which was identical to 5 and so on. And this is also of course 100% working with previous Babylon builds. You can even replace the saves in the Babylon2 compiler with these ones and make a Babylon3 installer for XBOXHDM or XBOX DVD or XBOX as an app. If you have Babylon2 installed on your PC the saves can be found in C:\Babylon2\XBOX\Files
And most important of all you have a choice between a Shadow C or not. I dont believe in automatic lockdown. If you need Fort Knox grade security on your XBOX use Babylon 1 and install the Glue Sniffer mod or use Rocky5 Softmod. If you just need Bank of Canada security or no security at all (IE you know what youre doing) I would suggest Babylon3. Even a no Shadow C mod includes 2 back up boots, 4 if you do a X2 (dual boot) Mod Menu install
This installer includes Evox, XBMC and UnleashX as dashboard choices
For PAL region users use any previous SID or Babylon PAL Splinter Cell save to boot into the installer
