Posted: Wed Apr 04, 2012 6:49 pm Post subject: Can't get XBMC installed: Copy Failed ..\xboxdash.xbe #1392
Hi guys!
For the past 3 hours I've been trying to install XBMC on my softmodded Xbox 1 (ndure using hotswap) but so far I haven't been able to accomplish this. It took me about 1 hour to find a DVD my Xbox would finally read (Philips drive...) and now for the past 2 hours I made this worse every minute so I thought let's ask the pro's before anything serious break.
When I click on "Softmod One-Click Install", it extracts all files. After that, it immediatly gives me this error:
BEGIN Copy from "E:\backup\MS" to C:\
Copy FAILED "E:\backup\MS\xboxdash.xbe", Error Code: 1392
END Copy Action
I prepared the HDD by "Format Retail HDD".
Any tips are well appreciated. Do note that my dashboard has changed from NDURE to EvolutionX. I have no idea how that happened.

Fixed it by using HeXEn disc

I'm sorry I missed this yesterday. I'm glad that you got it fixed!
For future reference, if you are using XBMC installer deluxe and get this error you just need to make sure you have a backup of the MS dash on your E:\ drive. There is an option on the main screen of XBMC installer deluxe that allows you to create a MS backup. _________________

Surprised to see that the Xbox1 community is still so active. Didn't thought it was when I picked up this baby on eBay for just 9 Euros. Yes, that's correct, 9 Euros with 1 controller and 2 games.

lol..9 Euros, that's hilarious.. congrats on your purchase.
